Welcome to the Scottish Detector Club Website

The Club was formed in 1977 and is Scotland's oldest metal detecting club.

The aim of the club is to promote the hobby of metal detecting to the general public and to provide practical help and advice to anyone who would like to pursue this fascinating hobby. We have regular club outings, most are in the Lothians, Borders and Fife regions with occasional weekend excursions to rallies in England.

The club meets on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm
5 Murrayburn Drive, Edinburgh, EH14 2SU

Please Note:- No meeting held in January

Anyone who would like to join the club, is welcome to attend a meeting.
Membership runs from the AGM in April until the end of March the following year and includes membership of the National Council for Metal Detecting (NCMD).

The club offers a free 'search and recovery' service to the public for lost jewellery, keys, tools etc......

For further information regarding the club, metal detecting in general or requests for the 'search and recovery' service, please contact our secretary
