Welcome to the Scottish Detector Club website.
The club was formed in 1977 and is Scotland's oldest metal detecting club.
The aim of the club is to promote the hobby of metal detecting to the general public and to provide practical help and advice to anyone who would like to pursue this fascinating hobby.
We have regular club outings, most are in the Lothians, Borders and Fife regions with occasional weekend excursions to rallies in England.
Anyone who is interested in joining the club is welcome to attend a meeting.
Membership runs from the AGM in April until the end of March the following year and includes membership of the National Council for Metal Detecting (N.C.M.D)
The club meets on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm at the Jewel Miners Welfare Club
(Bowling Pavilion / 56 Duddingston Park South, Edinburgh. EH15 3LJ)
Please note:- No meeting held in January
