Welcome to the scottish detector club
The Scottish Detector Club meets on the first Monday of each month at 7.30pm in the Ex-Servicemen’s Club, 7 Smith’s Place, Leith Walk, Edinburgh EH6 8NT. (N.B. No meeting held in January). Membership runs from the A.G.M. in April until the end of March the following year. The membership fee is £20 per year, £8 of which goes towards membership of the National Council for Metal Detecting (N.C.M.D.) which includes public liability insurance cover. Anyone interested in joining the club is welcome to attend a meeting. Most of our regular club outings are in the Lothians, Borders and Fife regions with occasional weekend excursions to rallies in England.
The aim of the club is to promote the hobby of metal detecting to the general public, and to give practical help and advice to anyone who would seriously like to take up this fascinating hobby.
The club also provides a free search and recovery service for lost property such as rings, keys, etc. (Add internal link here to Free Recovery Service page).
The club is run with the absolute minimum of red tape, and everyone has the chance to air their views about the running of the club. Most of all, we enjoy ourselves!
